The President of Azerbaijan Republic addressed letter to the participants of ADEX 2014

Dear Guests!

I sincerely welcome you to the opening of the 1st Azerbaijan International Defence Industry Exhibition, ADEX 2014, and wish every success to each of you in your activities for the future of our countries.

It is no coincidence that the capital of the independent Azerbaijan, a state with great economic potential in the region, is the initiator and host of this event. The economy of our rapidly improving country is growing dynamically in every field. The year 2014 has been declared the Year of Industry in our country, and this year has already seen positive results in all industry sectors so far. In this regard, I hope that this exhibition will become a traditional event and continue to expand in scope.

In our constantly changing world, countries are facing new security challenges which have further increased the relevance of military and technical cooperation and the exchange of modern technologies. Azerbaijan, whose lands have been exposed to occupation and terrorism as a result of external military aggression, always attaches great importance to the reinforcement of security and the deepening of intergovernmental cooperation, and is highly interested in cooperating with all friendly and partner states which share the principles of global justice, by strengthening its military potential under the framework of the approved Military Doctrine.

I believe that the productive meetings and business negotiations which will take place at this exhibition will contribute to the enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation, and will play a specific role in the transformation of today’s modern technologies market into a fair platform for competition.
